How to Start a Club

If you are interested in starting a club, we ask that you first familiarize yourself with our club policy which is included in the US Student Activities Handbook. Please refer to the Handbook and application.

Clubs meet year-round except for a break from Thanksgiving to January, with the exception of testing week and other half days.

Please note that all clubs must have two adult hosts with at least one adult host present for each meeting. Clubs are hosted on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. Clubs are not hosted on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays.

All adults must have first completed a MacLaren volunteer application.

Once approved, clubs are free to submit flyers for club promotion.

Upper School applications are due by Friday, August 30. Lower School Club applications are due by Monday, September 30. Clubs open to both Lower and Upper School students are also welcome. Hosts will be notified once applications are approved.

Parents, please contact the Clubs Coordinator if you are interested in starting a club for the Lower School. We recommend choosing activities that reflect your child’s interests. Students love having these opportunities to build friendship and pursue extracurricular avenues of curiosity and enjoyment.
