If you have trouble reporting attendance, please email [email protected] or call our Attendance team at 719-313-4488 ext. 129.

When reporting a child who needs to leave early from school, we ask for at least 24-hours' notice.

If in doubt as to whether or not your child is sick enough to stay home from school, please read the Illness Guidelines in the Health Information section of our website to help you make an informed decision.

Excused Absences

Excused absences are normally those resulting from illnesses, injury, family emergencies, family funerals, and court responsibilities. Family vacations or other recreational absences must be approved by the Head of School in advance to be counted as an excused absence. An excused absence gives the student the opportunity to make up work that has been missed during the absence.

For anticipated absences other than emergencies (e.g. vacations, extended holidays, some school activities, etc.), the administration must approve such absences in advance. In general, 3-5 school days’ notice is required.  The administration will determine, based on the circumstances of the case, whether the absence is excused or unexcused.
