MacLaren String Quartet

The MacLaren String Quartet was founded in 2016 and is comprised of four of our orchestra faculty members who are also performers with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and hold advanced performance degrees in their given instrument.

  • Keith Redpath, violin, holds a doctorate in violin performance.
  • Catherine Hanson, viola, serves as principal violist of the Philharmonic.
  • Michael Hanson, violin, serves as concertmaster of the Philharmonic.
  • Andrew Kolb, cello, holds a doctorate in cello performance.

  • Each year, the Quartet performs several concerts in Colorado Springs. We hope you can join us!

    The MacLaren String Quartet will present two works in their Musical Images evening - The Lark by Joseph Haydn and Death and the Maiden by Franz Schubert.

    Tickets are $10 and must be purchased prior to the event.
